A Nice Gesture In Louisiana
I just read this in the Bossier Press Tribune in Louisiana. They are having a community care center set up on May 20th for those suffering with Fibromyalgia. Pretty neat.
Here is a quote from the paper:
"A resource fair is currently being planned those suffering with Fibromyalgia. Friends and loved ones are also invited to attend the event which is set for May 20, at Summer Grove Baptist Church.
"Kay Asher, a clinical social worker with Willis Knighton rehab says the event will be filled with a plethora of information and more than 24 exhibits of items to help with the symptoms of the debilitating illness.
“We plan to have counselors on hand as well as demonstrations and lots of free items,” Asher said. “We want to encourage anyone with this illness to come out. Because of its debilitating nature, Fibromyalgia has a serious impact on patients’ families, friends and employers, as well as society at large.”
