The Comox Valley Nursing Centre (CVNC) reported this week that 500,000 Canadians have fibromyalgia.  I'm not exactly sure what percentage of the population that is, and how many of those are women, but that is enough for them to be hosting a conference next month.

The point of optimism here is that the keynote speaker is a person who "had" fibro myalgia for 6 years, but found significant relief using natural remedies… the kind of remedies that the FDA doesn't let you talk about down here in the good ole USA… because we wouldn't want to upset the pharmacuetical companies and all they are doing for all of us.

Most notibaly, she is a faculty chair in botanical medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster.

The main thing I am hoping for is a post conference report for all of us who won't be going to Canada for the conference.  I'll let you know if I hear anything.
